Zi joined the New York office in September 2016. She holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Zhejiang University of Technology. Before joining SWA/Balsley, Zi worked at James Corner Field Operations and Sasaki Associates, where she focused on designing at the intersection of landscape architecture and urban design and collaborating with different disciplines. With a background in landscape architecture, architecture, and urban design, she offers diverse experiences designing for vibrant urban spaces and appealing university campuses, as well as incorporating natural systems into cities and international mixed-use commercial projects.
