Following his upbringing in South Africa, Michael graduated with a Master of Architecture from the Technical University of Vienna. He has worked in Vienna, Paris, Singapore, and New York, specializing in large-scale, public building projects. A fervent advocate of 3D modeling, Michael was a quick adaptor and champion of using Building Information Modeling (BIM), adapting from traditional architectural practices.

As BIM lead at SWA/Balsley, he works to help develop new workflows for design documentation in landscape architecture.
