Austin joined SWA in 2022 after working in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area for 9 years, where he contributed to projects ranging from community development to detailed park design. As a native North Carolinian and a second-generation landscape architect, Austin has always been focused on the relationship between communities and the spaces that form them. He attended the North Carolina State College of Design, spending time at their Prague Institute, to start his career oriented in adding valuable places to foster human connection to nature.
